Sometimes in life time becomes present: deep present, only present. When It happens, we feel the whole universe; the live and burning univers inside the present time. When It happens, language can't describe the fenomenous: there's no enough words. When It happens, human consciousness feels plenitude.
There are a lot of ways to reach plenitude. To put our naked body in touch with natural elements is one of that ways. Human specie has been naked for many years (200.000 years) in touch with air, water, and sun. Today some people thinks that naked human body means scandal, sin, indecency, ugliness, poverty, misery, dirtiness... But there is no manufactured dress that is beatiful more than a rose or a lily. In spite we used all the gold in the world to make that dress, we wouldn't achieve the beauty of that flowers.
If we kept any person from seing a rose during his whole life, when this person saw accidentally a rose, he (or she) would watch the rose with fear, he would examine its thorns, he wouldn't touch its petals for avoiding an urticaria. At the end, he would consider the rose as strange flower, dark, abrupt, too wild to be exhibited.
Nowadays there's a lot of people troubled by their own being. Many people consider their own body and bodies of everybody as enemies: danger and ugly realities. Many people go to forest and ripe off the thorny plants, pick up all the sharp stones, destroy all the poisonous mushrooms... and at the end... these people think that this way of action is a right way of action... they think, wrongly, that this action contribute to achieve a more beautiful world.
Our body is a natural book, the book of the nature. If we sentence this book to darkness, we will lose the poem that existence sings through this book. Our body is just one reality, an oneness. And when our body is naked, all the senses forme just one sense. This only sense (formed by all the senses) perceives the harmony of nature. When It happens, we feel plenitude.
If we recover nudeness serenity, we will also recover the innocence that we lost when we started to wish money, power, prestige, pride... Children lose their innocence when they start to worry about their possessions; they lose their innocence when they start to worry about what they have instead about they are... when they start to worry about they shown instead about they are. To be nude in the nature means to recover the beloved childhood. Nudeness is like a sunlight which awake us from a nightmare; the nightmare of consumption's civilization; the nightmare of utilitarianism. Nakedness is a peaceful and liberating revolution against the chains of people who consider their body to be a dirty reality; a peaceful and liberating revolution against the imposition of fear's morality... against the unhealthy conception of the own being.
To be obliged to hide body is like a finger; a finger which point out the hiden reality; a finger which clamor for a contradiction: the hiden reality is scandalous and seductive, ugly and desirable, sinful and honourable... These contradictions go into subconscious as they were bad seeds . These contradictions turn our bodies into erotic objects.
The key to achieve dominion over instincts is not hiding of the human body but knowledge. When people hide body obsessively, morbidness increases. When people learn to discover human body... when they realise that human body is a good and nice nature's fruit... when they discover that human body is not necessarily an erotic object... then people achieve the self-control and interior freedom. We must know truth and watch reality face to face, without fears, complexs or uncontrolled excitements... Then we will be rid of body's fetishism
Sin is only in the eyes of some people who watch naked human bodies and see the external reality thorugh the glasses of its own interior fears and guilt's complex. They have suffered (unconsciously) a lot of years full of guilt's complex and repression: the mistake of condemning natural realities, of condemning a part of themselves; the mistake of not assuming a part of their reality.
There are some countries and cultures where hands women, or eyes women, have become reason of sexual excitement. The more we hide the more human body becomes perturbing reality. Human spirituality needs to recover the lost ground of the body's beauty. Human spirituality must defeat the economic empire of pornography. Human spirituality must remove morbidity from human body, and must contemplate it as a natural reality.
Human body's beauty is a metaphor of the invisible reality which accompanies body; an ikon which point towards a deeply beautier conscience. If we love the rose that we have left in a star, then all roses will recall our beloved rose. Every human body will recall us human dignity if we achieve to recognize ( in everybody we see) a person who deserve to be loved.
Naturist nudism can be a vaccine against the use of human body as a consumption's product. Nudism can also be the breaking-off with the enforced aesthetics of the mass media... breaking-off with the enforced aesthetics of the traditions... breaking-off with the enforced aesthetics of the dark past centuries. Naturist nudism allows us to recover natural aesthetics which has evolved in Earth since the beginning of time. When human body is naked and free in the nature, beside the sea and the yellow sand, It shines as the beautiest image in the whole universe, the most serene, the most elegant; at least in the mind of people who lives in harmony with nature. Naturist nudism allow us to enjoy natural elements with all our senses, with all our skin; allow us to fill up with wind, with sea, with sun, with plenitude; allow us to feel free and beauty; allow us to accept humbly the dress that univers has sew for us; allow us to watch our companions free of fears; allow us to be accepted by companions as we really are; allow us to be conscious of present time, and to live present time without longing for any future; allow us to educate our daughters and sons with the idea of freedom, free of fears, free of fetishism, free of disproportionate valuations of some body's parts.
People who reject naturist nudism should'nt condemn this reality without previous knowledge. They should'nt put everybody who undress in te same sack. Perhaps some people who undress are victims of a lot of repressed years (people who search sexual excitement). But the majority of nude people, are persons, families, couples, friends... who search freedom, peace, nature, beauty, sun, sea, light...

This is so absolutely true. Especially here in America. It's only getting worse because Americans are only getting fatter and because young girls are getting pregnant. Both of these mean that we should not be naked.
One time I went up into the mountains and a few friends and I swam around nude in a stream, we encountered others doing the same. That was the first time I ever really felt like I was a part of universe, like a rock or a tree. I exist with nature, as a part of nature.
Greetings from California!
Interesting article! And thanks for visiting my blog too. Yes it's so true that the more you repress, the more focus you bring on what you are trying to repress!! For instance as you pointed out, women who are completely covered - the eyes, ankles, hands then become erotic objects for the men. The world has a long way to go ..
i read somewhere that there is a direct correlation between positive body image and time spent in the nude. and it really seems to make sense. i think the tendency when we're clothed is to look at our body in bits and pieces. i hear girls all the time, myself included, criticizing parts of their body, their ass, their breasts, their stomachs, and if they were so many objects independent of themselves. if you step back and look at the body as a whole, its always beautiful.
i think demystifying sex can serve a similar purpose too. we tend to discuss out bodies in terms of eroticism, and not healthy eroticism either. when we discuss our bodies in terms of only how they would appeal sexuality to others, we make our body into just another product to be consumed. if we stopped discussing sex solely as a dirty act which should simultaneously be hidden in shame and define our existence and our interactions with others, i think it would give people a healthier view of sex and of their body.
there isn't enough honesty in this world right now, and there's certainly too much shame.
wow, long response. you really got me thinking..
i was curious to know, what do you teach?
greetings from british columbia!
thanks, i like your words too!
Hi
I like this article so much.
Because it contains nothing but the truth.
It is only some cultures which makes us feel nudeness is a sin
Much greeting from Kenya
